Julio Simao has more than 25 years of professional experience in agriculture working in Rural Development Programs with the following professional path: 1. August 2022 up to date – Climate Smart Agriculture Specialist & Farmer Field Schools Coordinator at SOCODEVI and implementing PAEF Project (“Rural Women Empowerment Project”) in Marracuene, Manhiça (in Maputo Province) and Chókwè, Guijá and Manjacaze (in Gaza Province). He is based in Chókwè. 2. September 2021 to August 2022 - Senior Agriculture Advisor at SNV and implementing VC/OYE Program (Value Chains Development and Opportunities for Youth Employment Balama, Namuno and Montepuez (Cabo Delgado). He was based in Montepuez. 3. November 2018 to June 2021 - Agriculture Livelihoods Restoration Programs Administrator. He has been working for Total Mozambique LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) Project TEPMA1– (formal Anadarko – LNG-AMA1) in Afungi Peninsula, Palma, contracted by Contact and afterward by Global Edge Mozambique. The with main responsibility was to oversight all agriculture livelihoods restoration programs implemented by contracted partners through, daily, weekly and monthly monitoring of activities or interventions. 4. July 2017 to October 2018 - Provincial Coordinator – Conservation Agriculture and Climate Resilient Agriculture Specialist at NCBA CLUSA and implementing RAMA-BC Project in Angónia, Macanga and Tsangano. He was based in Ulónguè-Angónia (Tete province). 5. June 2014 to July 2017 - Conservation Agriculture Specialist – Deputy Project Manager at CARE International and implementing PROSAN (“Programa de Segurança Alimentar e Nutricional”) Project in Funhalouro and Homoine districts (Inhambane Province). He was based in Maxixe.
