Resumo

• Plan, deliver and evaluate activities, programs and events that meet the needs of a diversity of young people in line with Maribyrnong Strategy for Young People (2014-2018). • Work in partnership with local service and education providers to plan and deliver music, arts and cultural events and programs • Consult and engage with young people to ensure their voices are included in all aspects of program planning, delivery and evaluation within a youth participation framework. • Working within a social justice and equity framework, facilitate the participation of local young people experiencing disadvantage and social exclusion into youth programs, including migrant and refugee young people, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people, LGBTIQ young people, young people with disabilities, young people not in education, training or employment and young people from low socioeconomic backgrounds. • Promote Youth Services’ programs to young people and their families and service providers within the City of Maribyrnong • Advocate with and on behalf of young people through participation on committees, networks and working groups on issues identified in the Maribyrnong Strategy for Young People and as directed by the Advocacy & Planning Stream Leader • Work as part of the Youth Services’ team in the ongoing analysis of social issues and policies at different levels of government that affect young people. • Prepare reports addressing key performance indicators outlined in individual work plans, service agreements and contracts with funding bodies
