I am a social activist, talented professional with a strong knowledge of the Mozambican governance context and experienced in the areas of teaching, management, women's and children’s rights, governance and local development. I am a specialist on protection and child safeguard trained by UNICEF and Save The Children working for 6 years to the Civil Society Forum for Child Rights as project manager and National coordinator of the Observatory of Children Rights. Currently I am also in charge of the PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) policy and trainer on the IASC (Inter-Agency Standing Committee) Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse package and the Victim Centred Approach. Having completed the master degree in political science, I had the opportunity to deepen my knowledge of social research methodologies with a strong orientation towards local governance, decentralization, gender inclusion and citizenship. I worked as a lecturer at the Higher Institute of Public Administration and at Nachingwea University where, in addition to teaching, had supervised end-of-course work on Decentralization, Local Governance and Public Policy issues. Worked as Municipal Governance Officer for the DIALOGO Programe, implemented by DAI (Development Alternatives Initiative) and funded by DFID; at Actionaid-Mozambique as Project Manager for EC PANAF - an advocacy and lobbying initiative for the implementation of the African Charter on Democracy, Elections and Governance in African Union Countries. Also worked as Programme Manager at the Civil Society Forum for Children Rights where I am currently the Coordinator of the Observatory of Childrens Rights - an initiative funded by the European Union. My duties at the Civil Society Forum for Children’s Rights includes the task of provide training to partners and drafting policies namely: (i) Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy, (ii) Policy against Sexual Harassment; (iii) Anti-Corruption Policy.
