RESUME FOR LEWIS NGOMA My name is Lewis Ngoma and have I been doing forestry practice for the past thirty-six years. I have worked for one company ever since leaving college and as on the job training I have gone through several in house courses to enhance my interaction with subordinates and at the same time develop inter-personal skills found on the job. Through these in house courses I was able to stick out as a high performer in both quality and surpassing set production targets which ultimately culminated in the series of promotion that then followed. I am good at communication written and oral, job monitoring, a serious fire fighter, and team builder. I have also revived some almost dying operations. The resin operation had fallen down to 50% production and in 9 months had gone up to 110%.On poles business all critical orders where given to me and I recall in 2015 a stop gap order of 35,000 poles was required in three months by a customer. I made sure it was fulfilled within the set period and this made the company secure some big orders which brought in the much needed foreign currency. With regards to firefighting I became their champion such that for every fire incident they always sort for me. Before the land invasions of the year 2000 it was unheard of to loose in excess of 50 ha to a single fire and this was a tremendous achievement when one looks at the type of equipment in use at that time. On plantation management my areas always got the best marks and the minimum I received was 3 star rating. In most cases we got 4 star rating. I did some serious planting of over one thousand two hundred hectares per year for four consecutive years as the drive was to ensure all utilizable land was put under trees to reduce TUP (total unplanted area) the plantation. I was also part of the team that put up the current Silviculture procedures as a tool to instill work standards throughout the company.
