My name is Maria Uamba, I work as the Development Program Specialist for the Integrated Health Office in USAID. I support the preparation of program and budget specific documents for program implementation including the IHO procurement plan and the formulation of the PEPFAR budget; Monitor, analyse and report on PEPFAR program compliance with guidance on budget execution; Lead IHO response to Program Office and Executive Office on taskers, including reporting requirements as related to the budget; Advise IHO leadership and technical staff on budget and program matters; Liaise with USAID/Washington on program and budget issues; Participation in the Operational Plan (OP); and serve as the IHO primary point of contact on matters relating to personnel and program management costs for the IHO PEPFAR and non-PEPFAR portfolio. Before I joined USAID, I worked as the PEPFAR Community Grants Program Coordinator for the PEPFAR Coordination Office in STATE-PEPFAR at the United States Embassy in Maputo since March 2020. I worked as the Grants Officer Representative for several HIV prevention programs through the Monitoring, Administration and Financial Management of Grants, which involves mastering of federal assistance portions of ILMS for the entire award cycle; Lead each award cycle from pre-award to close-out ensuring fidelity of implementation, robust monitoring and alignment with PEPFAR Mozambique priorities; Coordination in PEPFAR Working Groups (Civil Society/Community and population specific services), Government Agencies (MoH, CNCS), Donors (multilaterals) and Other Stakeholders and Participation in the Country Operational Plan process (COP); Lead the review of financial and programmatic reports from grantees, ensure that feedback is given in a timely manner and that follow up is done quickly as well as Grants review. As the Development Program Specialist, I deal with various USAID systems mainly (GLAAS, Phoenix, APECS).
